Sihanoukville's Independence Hotel went from being a glamorous destination in the 1960s (a port of call of Jacqueline Kennedy's tour of Cambodia) to a Khmer Rouge hideout.
Today, the four-Star hotel has been revamped to regain its former glory, featuring rooms with floor-to-ceiling window for superb ocean views. It has its own private beach with the newly opened Sunset Restaurant & sea villas surrounded by acres of tropical forest and lush gardens.
